*Feel Good Factor Of The Day Driving into town, in an horrendous, stalled queue of traffic, I observed a very attractive young lady trying to maneuver her car from what we shall call an 'interesting' parking location, back onto the main road. I backed up as much as I could, without actually hitting the car behind, with much honking of horns going on. I then got out, and persuaded the two cars immediately behind me to back up as well, and was then able to let the young lady, who was looking rather distressed at her situation, onto the road. About a mile further down the road, we both turn off into the same car park, and she walks over to me and says "Thank you so much for helping, and letting me go ahead of you". I answered "Not at all - I always let attractive young ladies come first", to which she replied "Don't you mean 'go first'?". I said "Probably not", with a grin. She answered "In that case you are a real gentleman", shot me a dazzling smile, and walked off. I don't think I would have got away with it, were I not at least twice her age. :( Anyway, I have been smiling ever since! :)

Man - I wish I could talk like that. I'd then spend less time on the internet and more time outdoors. :-D

You should check your windshield wipers before you leave that car park. Who cares about age... She might have left a note / (business) card!

Good point - she might have been a lady and dropped her handkerchief business card as she left. :)

where is this fantasy land you live in, where you: a. managed to persuade someone to give even the tiniest bit off leeway on the road? AND b. managed to say that to any female over the age of 18 without being sued prompty for sexual harassment?

When you get to my age, you get much more leeway from the young ladies; they think you're harmless.

It's hot and sunny here right now, so when I got out of the car I slapped on my Akubra. With a full (but trimmed) beard, I have been told I look a little like Ernest Hemingway - so they probably thought I had a game rifle in the car.

Oh I agree. It's a myth that helps our cause though.
