Fate of nAnt, nUnit, nCover, nDoc, GotDotNet and many more open source product/communities shows that MS is still living in their age old methodology "Depend on us else perish". What do you think, we as dot net developers carries a greater risk in case of some disaster to MS compared to other technology Dev's?

Yep. I'd go with the church community, than with MS.

It's spelled correctly, just the wrong word. There really is such a word - parish - in English, and the spell checker has no way of knowing which word you meant. But your meaning was clear enough. :-D

Not really. I would say the same. Let's take Java for example. If a disaster was heading it's way, the Java developers would be forced to move to another world. Same goes for Microsoft, Google, Apple you name it. If a technology failes it does not matter if it's open source or not. Sure open source might help in keeping it alive longer, but that's another discussion.
