Do they have custard creams[^] in any other countries?

In Kerala (India), people just call them cream biscuits or cream centered biscuits. Here in the US, I guess they'd be called cream filled cookies (like Oreos).

None from Indian companies (that I'm aware of), but I've seen some of those on the supermarkets in the waitrose section (UK import). I've tried some biscuits from waitrose and I thought they were good. I also picked 4 cans of waitrose drinking chocolate recently because it was very good. At office, I drink this instead of tea or coffee. Are these custard creams any good? Worth trying? :)

There must be dozens of Indian brands. This is just another term for "Cream biscuits".

Probably not, but I wanted to be sure. I thought you lived in rural Illinois and was surprised they'd have an Indian store there.

Oh okay. It must be someone else I had in mind then. All I remember is that it was an active SoapBoxer (the classic one, not the new versions). 2 Indian markets in a 40K population is surprising. Is it a college town with 100s of Indian students and professors?

I've seen things pretty close here in the US and also in South America, but I'm not sure why anyone would eat them! After all, we have Oreos[^] and coffee.

Oreos are terrible. You'd never find one in my biscuit tin; although the biscuit tin is usually empty as I will have already eaten all of the biscuits so you'll not find anything in there!

it's a suburb of Raleigh/Chapel Hill/Durham, so there are three big colleges (NC State, UNC and Duke) in the area and tons of tech jobs.

No, it is different than a regular cream biscuit. It is made from custard powder so it tastes a lot different than the cream biscuits you find in the market.

I don't like coffee. I like tea, but I don't really drink hot drinks so. I stand by what I said, if you want a real biscuity snack then you really want to be having a Fox's Classic, or Tripple. Now that's a question which is better? I know for a fact that I can eat a lot more Tripples than Classics before feeling ill, but by that logic chocolate covered digestives would reign supreme; I have (and will again) eaten entire packets in one sitting - I just can't stop.
