Guys, I have a current license to Exp Stuido 3, and i hear from MS site that all existing customers are eligible for free upgrade to Exp Studio 4 (which has gone RTM today). Although it says it is avaiulable for ready download now for exisitng customers, it does not exactly say from where :-) Ha! I purchased Expression Studio 3 last year through Microsoft Store, UK (online) and i logged into that site and can only find my past purchase record, nothing about the RTM 4. Anybody purchased using Micrsoft Store in UK and are able to download the RTM today? Any info will be greatly appreciated. I called up Microsoft Store, UK and the US, and the service was pathetic, to say the best. These guys did not even know Studio 4 was RTM'd today, and one guy (from UK) even said to me i had to buy it again and the info in MS expression site about free upgrade for existing Exp Stuid 3 product is wrong. I have sent an email to them - with my ES 3 license key, purchase date etc., hoping to recieve some sensible info back. Fingers crossed. Thanks in advance.

My understanding was that this was only for relatively recent purchases (like they did with Win Vista to 7 for PCs near the 7 release date). This would probably make you not eligible.

Oh dear! I knew there would some "catch" like that! :-( I purchased the Full version of Exp Studio 3 last August for a price of around £450 from Microsoft Store, UK. Goodness, now i will have to shell out another £300 (something they call a substantial discount price for currrent customers) to get Studio 4. A £700+ on Exp Studio in just 10 months!!!!!!!! :-) God!!!!!!! Thanks for the info!

Go to this site: http://expression.microsoft.com/en-us/default.aspx[^] It explains things there.

Hey Thanks. But this is the site i have been to before when i attempted to download ES 4, but although it points to a link to download it, it only takes us to Expression Studio 3 :-) not to 4. And there is no info about the download of ES 4 anywhere in that site that link takes you to, although the inital page promises it :-) That is why i had to call up the MS directly, but the info they give there is completely different to the info in page i went to (and the one you point at). MS say that info is wrong, and that i have to buy it again, no matter it it was just 10 months back i purchased the full Suite 3. You should hear the way and tone they talk to you, they simply don;t care you are their existing customer and that we are helping to bring more customers into their technologies :-) I guess that is how all wealthy business enterprises are these days, anywhere. Thanks for answering though.

Wow, I'm sorry it doesn't work for you. :sigh: It must be that UK customers get served different pages from that site than we do in the States.

Why don't you just download it from the US Site? Here's what it says: How To Upgrade If you purchased Expression 3 from a store, download the trial below of Expression Studio 4 Ultimate or Expression Studio 4 Web Professional. Provided you have Expression 3 installed on that computer, the full version will automatically be enabled. Owners of Expression Web 3 can upgrade for free to Expression Studio 4 Web Professional and owners of Expression Studio 3 can upgrade to Expression Studio 4 Ultimate. I'm with MSDN so get it from there but I think you should be OK.
