Launch of new iPhone

Here's one article from the Australian: clickety[^] Here's a couple of comments of mine: New 'features': thinner, forward facing camera, better battery life, shinier. Come on! Yes to all of those, but really, they are all just obvious incremental improvements. It's like they're selling vacuum cleaners - "Now comes in grey and yellow", or in Apple's case "Now comes in extra pretentious" - whoop-de-do. Steve Jobs: Am I mistaken or does he look really sick, and I mean "the cancer's come back with a vengeance" really sick.
If you don't know where you're going then ... you must belong in Project Management.

Your thinking like a consumer. Not a Apple fanboy. Those new vacuum colors will make them run screaming to the store for their next fix.
Actually a fanbois is a consumer, in the ultimate sense of the term. I've long held the opinion that Apple make consumer electronics and services only. It took the iPod to establish this fact in their (i.e. Steve Jobs) mind and everyone elses. But it was true for a long time before that. The vacumm cleaner colour references are a piece of marketing history. When Dyson launched his bagless vacumm cleaner he deliberately coloured it grey and yellow (somewhat scary colour combination) to distinguish it from everything else on the market. When he started getting traction in the market place Electrolux introduced a 'new' vacumm cleaner, the only thing 'new' about it was the colour, the same as Dysons. So I guess I'm saying that Apple is the 'new' Electrolux.

I thought there would be an augmented reality app given the dual cameras and gyro. Guess we'll have to wait till later.
