I don't have time to watch the video right now, but maybe you can tell me if this is really about everyone having access to clean, renewable power or whether it's about some of us paying for others to not pay, while someone else just happens to be collecting the funds out of the goodness of their heart? Just curious, mind you.

"This project will install solar PV systems on schools, clinics and community centres. It will train people to start businesses selling small solar chargers for radios, lamps and mobile phones." Yes, the Amway small solar chargers are brilliant. "This project will introduce solar power in remote communities, reducing their dependency on wood and charcoal and giving them an income." We'll pay them one cent per three metric tonnes of their wood and charcoal. "Poor communities in Malawi use kerosene for lighting, which is highly toxic. This project will introduce clean, affordable solar lighting into rural homes." We'll knock holes in the walls of their mud huts with a sledgehammer, to let the solar lighting in. "This project will create jobs for the poorest people in Tanzania, and bring solar power to local communities and school children." ... And the Reebok and Pepsi factories will look so charming in the sunset. If you turn your head just so, you can see this, between the lines: "We'll get stinking rich by acting as agents, selling on technology that will be outdated and unmaintained by next year, and the places we go will end up being littered with the non-biodegradable junk we dump on them." I'm missing the bit about the hidden millions that I can claim part of by sending an administrative fee.
