Did you notice the one for the "grahiic designer"? She's good with graphics, but my dogs spell better.

The cool thing is that she can always find a good excuse and pretend it was an artistic effect of some sort.

"My dog has no nose." - "How does he smell?" - "Terrible." Sorry, couldn't resist. :-O

X| X| X| My sister went to an art school. One of the things she complained about was that a number of her classmates were all ready practicing the hygiene standards that they'd be using when living in a cardboard box under a bridge. My sister got a good job for a painting major after she graduated though: babysitter.

I will probably be held as an old fart, but, geez, these would go right away to the trash. In a resume, I look for simplicity and clarity, I don't want to have to translate from russian or turn the sheet ten times in every direction to be able to read a sentence. Show me what you can do in the appendix, put a few links on your work in the CV, but for god's sake, write in black font on white paper, and in a font available on every PC and not exceeding 12pix. And this, as good a designer as you may be.

True, but I have seen some decent ones as a graphical artist. Basically a CV/Resume should always be targeted at a career/job. If that job is an artist or other creative activity, then the CV/Resume should be creative (within reason). But if the job is serious, or worse, tie-at-work type stuff, then the resume/CV should be equally formal.

Actually, I knew a few of those in college in CS! "Zeus" as we knew him, I don't think I ever really knew his given name (I actually never shared a class with him thank heavens!), he would rarely bathe. They would disinfect the chair when he left the computer center, and I tried to be in a different terminal room.

The resumes in your links were obviously targetted at graphic designers, but a resume from a developer in the form of an ascii art console application or a cool silverlight project would get many bonus points from me. I always try to get something creative by saying in the job posting "Please submit a resume, portfolio, something creative, or any combination of the above" but rarely am I treated to something fun :(
