Only one week after posting my CV online, and one interview later, I am happy to be employed full time again. I found that freelancing didn't allow me enough time to be dedicated to one client while seeking others, and still make enough to live well from that client.

Internet dating is much the same.

I know! Posted my CV on CareerWeb and got floods of calls just a day later. Irony being I didn't get the lead for my new job from any of them, but via someone I follow on twitter. I was a bit tempted to persue a job in Krugersdorp, at R300/hr, but the commute would have killed me. Traffic is no problem on my scooter, but it's damn tiring crossing Joburg on a scooter. Done some work out at Clearwater mall, and even that was huge mission of a commute. Who you working for now?

Haha, four of my friends met their SO's through internet dating, and two have just got married, while the other two have been engaged for three years and plan on tying the knot this year.

Peter Kay advert running at the moment... Two couples in a restaurant, and his wife says "If you could sleep with any woman in the world, who would it be?" He looks at her and says, "No, one woman is enough, it would be you" She replies "It's just a game, c'mon who would you like to sleep with?" He thinks and says "Sandra from work". The other guy says "Aye, Sandra" And the pair of them have the thousand yard stare.

I did that step for exactly the same reasons 2 months ago. After 16 years of freelancing. My last client is now my employer and I am happy, have much more free time. Cheers Christof

I always welcome less competition :p BTW, you should have charged more, most freelancers should.
