Which is the first day of the week? As far as I know in all English-spoken countries the first day of the week is Sunday. But, the weekend usually means two days (Saturday - which is the last day of the week) and Sunday. So, Sunday is also at the beginnig of the week and also at the end of the week. Does anyone else share my dilemma? :) Best regards, Alexandru Savescu

:) I am happy that in non-english-speaking countries like China,no such dilemma exists. this is my signature for forums quoted from shog*9: I can't help but feel, somewhere deep within that withered, bitter, scheming person, there is a small child, frightened, looking a way out.

Speaking personally, I consider Monday the first day of the week. Sunday is part of the weekend to me. Michael Life’s not a song. Life isn’t bliss. Life is just this. It’s living. -- Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Once more, with feeling

No, I'm in the UK and always treat monday as the first day of the week. And so does everyone else as far as I know.

I also treat Monday as the first day of the week. However my computer is set to US English and the calendar in systray displays current month with Sunday as the first day of the week by default. This caused me some troubles when I tried to use it once.... Best regards, Alexandru Savescu

From a Judaic biblical perspective, I would imagine that Monday is the first day of the week, since God rested on the 7th day (being Sunday). I'm sort of surprised that none of the other responses mentioned this! Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.
