Error 41: Kernel Power

Has anybody experienced this when a Win 7 box is put under stress? Seems a lot of people on the 'net are having this problem, my home box is started playing up and just wondering if anybody has experienced and cured the beastie.

First question, do you have a big enough power supply? BTW, is this a BSOD, or just a popup error? If BSOD, what is the STOP code? Also, I would expect YOU to analyze the crash dump.

Days gone by I would of done, but my time is required elsewhere. General ideas on the internet are down to bad chipset, audio, [insert 3rd party] drivers.

I've had several APC_INDEX_MISMATCH (IIRC) BSODs under 64-bit Win7 but as one was dragging a window I don't think it was due to stress. :(

That's borderline on a modern medium level PC.

I have a 500W for a Vista box with 1GB gfx, 2GB RAM and a AMD 64x 4000 with a 500GB hdd. So we're talking junk box here. Gaming you get a 1000W or higher. Also, what were you doing at the time of the error? Only BSOD I've had in my computing life on my computer which I take care of is when WMP tried to rip a cd whose audio track had a video in it. All on the same track. Video to mp3 didn't work so well. ;P
