I'm looking for some photo album software that focuses on organization and keyword tagging, not all that goofy image manipulation stuff. What do you CPians use and like (hopefully "use" and "like" aren't mutually exclusive!) Thanks! Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.

 Yes, it's totally awesome. I was dumbstruck when I plugged my USB camera in and everything just happened. Screw those lawyers and their monopoly lawsuits--when an OS acts this well it's truly amazing. HOWEVER! I've got over 1,000 pictures. I need to catalog them. And don't say "FOLDERS"! Aaaaahhhhhhhhhh! Have you tried PhotoMesa? Yes, I know its written in Java, but still it is quite an amazing program IMHO. http://www.cs.umd.edu/hcil/photomesa/[^]

Cool! It looks like it may do the trick, especially with the metadata capability. Thanks! Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.

I use "Photo Studio", written by a friend of mine. It has fantastic EXIF support, and it's completely free. You can download it from www.stuffware.co.uk[^] but he's got a newer better version that you need to bug him for. Hey, if enough of you bug him he might even get around to putting it on his website. I heartily recommend Photo Studio, it might take a little while to get used to but it's cool. It's got an online manual that documents how to do most things, and the author even runs www.exif.org. Hopefully I'll get a beer out of recommending it to you all! :-D -- Simon Steele Programmers Notepad - http://www.pnotepad.org/
