I see you gave up arguing about jejune then?
No, but it seemed pointless arguing with you when you cannot understand the difference between the French Meaning and the English. All you provided was an etymology of the word. Despite what it's origins were in the French language, it still has other meanings in English. This is why English is the largest language.

Langue. And then we come to jejune, which David decides does NOT maintain its meaning as do all the other French derived words he just used. Instead he gives and entirely NEW erroneous meaning. What other words have you changed the meaning of then? Do you intend to do this to others in the future? Perhaps you could redefine 'language' as a sexual position? Dunno, just a hint.

I agree - I hate speaking it, but the writing is great.
Phhh, like you actually know how to communicate in Japanese. The only thing you know is words and phrases you have memorized. Pathetic, real pathetic.

Your phraseology implies certainty despite a complete lack of intelligence or knowledge - this is probably why you believe in the magical healing effects of colloidal silver.

You are only pretending to be smart, like someone who just watched start trek and decides to run around talking like spock.

I've never seen Star Trek before; you, on the other hand, sound intimately familiar with it...

Okay: I was tempted to look cos you replied so quickly and bugger me if I don't agree with what you said! That being the case, stop saying things I agree with or we'll have to start talking again and I will have to stop being belligerent/rude (which, I have to say, you mostly deserve) and I like being belligerent and rude - it's fun. ps. It really isn't that bad here: it's like every country: it all looks very different from somewhere else until you live there and you realise that, mostly, everyone gets up and goes to work and has the same basic problems no matter where you live. Now, feel free to berate me and tell me to eff off so I can tell you what a cunt you are, okay?

はい、日本語でした。 There are three different syllabaries: Hiragana (ひらがな), used for Japanese words when there is either no Kanji or a reason to not use them; Katakana (カタカナ), used for foreign words and onomatopoeic words, or just for effect; and Kanji (漢字), which are basically adapted from Chinese and are honestly the best part of the language.
How are you going about learning Japanese?

And why does that matter if he does or does not publish his work?
He can collect random bits of information be he can't build anything.

Nowadays I pretty much use Mathematica and LaTeX, which don't lend themselves well to publishing on this site. I'm also going to learn Scilab.

I'm not saying that Star Trek is bad (I obviously don't know) but rather I was reversing his insult, at least in his eyes.
