Which CD do you own the most ? I have a tie - I have four copies of British Steel by Judas Priest ( for various reasons ), and four copies of 'Keep the faith' by Bon Jov( the last remaster, the recent remaster, a version released at the time with a bonus live CD and another released at the time with two bonus tracks ). I'm not sure if I am pleased that the recent reissues have only bonus live tracks, when studio tracks of the time obviously exist and were given away before.

I think I own ALL of my CD's, since I paid for them. I'd really be upset to find out I only own, say 20%, of a CD.

Is that an old one, or a recent one ? My favourite by far from Iced Earth is The Glorious Burden, esp the trilogy about Valley Forge. That's just an astonishing piece of music. I also have a DVD where he walks around where the battle took place and talks about it all.

An older one, which has 'Dantes Inferno' one of the best songs he's written. My favorite album though is probably 'The Dark Saga', wonderfully consistent song writing on that one. I totally agree 'Gettysburg' is a phenomenal tune.

*grin* well, I believe you don't own them, per se, in theory I don't believe you're allowed to resell them.

I own my body, but that doesn't mean I can sell it (not everywhere, anyway).

TV Smith's Explorers - Last Words of the Great Explorer 2 Vinyl (1 US version, 1 UK version) and 1 CD (UK version). Old John Peel sessions from the 70's turned me on to TV...

CDs? I don't think we have too many doubles. I know we're fault tolerant on The Jayhawk's "Tomorrow the Green Grass," though we really should keep one copy offsite. In all formats, though... Cowboy Junkies "The Trinity Sessions" 4 LPs, 1 CD, and downloaded from Zune store (subscription). Hot Tuna "Live" 2 LPs and iTunes download. I had the CD but it is so poorly mastered that I threw it away. Unlistenable. I also have about 500 GB of live shows that are backed up regularly to a separate hard disk in house. When I had a non-home office I also kept an offsite copy of the files there via LiveSync. But I think that's a different kind of obsession entirely.

I only have 1, the original somehow got scratched and wouldn't play on my Laptop so I recently replaced it while still available. The original still plays on my Teac changer, but... Dave.

Beethoven's Violin concerto - six thereof! Actually that is a slight cheat, as they are all actually different orchestras/soloists/performances, and in each one the cadenza is quite different.

Only two, of David Sylvian's Brilliant Trees. The first was a very early CD and the disc discoloured to a nice golden colour and the silvering started to break up around the edge so I got another. Not a very exciting story, but you did ask!

I have three albums of Bostons Third Stage. I lent it to an acquaintance that scratched it so I bought a new one, and so did he a week later.

I have about 25 of Pearl Jam's bootleg series of live recordings. Most are double CD. Not really the same CD but the variation is minor.

Dire Straits' Brothers in Arms. First copy got scratched too badly to be playable so I bought a second copy. I also have the DualDisc release, so that makes 3.
