    Got to love this story[^]. The best bit is the quote to the side. "His family must have known he was dead all these years". You don't say,he was a skeleton FFS, unless they thought he had lost a lot of weight

        Weird. If the wiki article is correct that's nearly *6* years spent proactively prepping for death (1000 days spent dropping weight/body fat and another 1000 days changing diet again and drinking poisonous tea).

          You're right. I've actually seen such a mummie deified at a temple. It was a really sacred experience. But in this case, it's just a fraud for his pension, we think.

            No body had a clue. I think the family's excuses are a bit thin and carry no weight with me.
