F1 - The excuse... [modified]

What a total scumbag Schumacher is - I respect him immensely for being a 7 time world champion, but what he did yesterday was inexcusable. Nevertheless, he has come out with the following justification for attempting to destroy Rubens Barrichello (taken from here[^]): "There's not much to say. He obviously had fresher tyres. I was moving over to the inside to make it very obvious and clear to him to go on the other side, there was more space, but he chose not to so it got a bit tight. We know certain drivers have certain views, and there's Rubens. As a driver you have the ability to change line once, and that's what I was trying to do. Obviously there was enough space to go through - we didn't touch, so I just left enough space. It was a bit tight and tough, but I think I'm known not to give presents on track. To pass me you have to earn it." Oh yeah Shumy, the fact that we could see you looking in your mirror all the way down then decided to move right when Rubens was making a move on you. At the time both myself and my mate just shouted at the TV in unison "you ****". Hats off to Rubens, what a brave chap, I would have soiled myself - in fact I nearly did just watching it. [EDIT] Now, I don't read the Daily Mail, and I guess that many here don't either, but there is a superb picture of said incident here[^].

And to note that fact that they drove in the same team for what, 3 years? Not that that matters I suppose since this is a sport and everyone is out to win. But then, there has to be some sporting conduct somewhere too.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it. My latest tip/trick - Silverlight *.XCP files. Visit the Hindi forum here.

Time for Schumacher to retire for good - he hasn't come up with the goods this season and it's clearly just a bit too much for him.

It is strange that when sportstars in any game are peforming at their peaks, they earn the respect of everyone in the world. If they retire and make a comeback, it is rare to find them ever attaining that same peak (or respect) that they had achieved earlier. Unfortunately, Schumacher, too, has gone this way.

In fairness, Schumi was going right all the time, Rubens just went more right at the last moment. From replays you could see Schumi got out of the way (going sharp left) when he realized what was going on.

He knew what he was doing all the time. And the fact that he's been docked 10 places for the next race shows that the stewards knew what he was up to as well, and they know more about racing than I do! :)

((λ (x) `(,x ',x)) '(λ (x) `(,x ',x))) The Scheme Programming Language – Fourth EditionI'm sorry, but no. There was a reasonable gap, which Rubens went for, and Schumacher made a clear and deliberate move to the right to try to force Rubens to either back off or risk going into the wall. Schumacher knew the wall was there and deliberately tried to put Rubens into it. Without the wall being there it's a dubious move off his line to block, with it there it's a move designed to make the other driver crash and that's unacceptable. It was poor behaviour from a man who, for all his talent, has always lacked class.

Let's not forget that he tried to do the same to Massa 2 or three GPs ago. That time they touched if I remember correctly.
