    I'm renewing my free subscription via their website and the submission page includes this:

    In lieu of a signature, we require a unique identifier used only for subscription verification purposes.

    In what state/province were you born?

    Must be a very small subscription base if a question with ~80 options can be used as a unique identifier. :doh:

              Yea! their subscriber base has shrunk so much, now they only allow single subscriber from each state/province :rolleyes:

                              It's a badly phrased question. They want the information so that a third party can independently verify the subscriber base.
