Try Calculus by Piskunov. Alternatively, try Engg. Maths by E. Kreyszig. George

Calculus by Michael Spivak[^]. It's the bible. When I was doing my Maths degree this was a book that we all heard about but only about 2 people I knew had managed to get copies. I always dreamed of getting a copy, but until now I'd always thought it was permanantly out of print. Thank God for Amazon! cheers, Chris Maunder

Thanks, added it to my wish list - I hope to get back my math! I had to go for engineering as a compromise (parents for medical science, myself for maths == engineering to satisfy both, no broken heart to Mom :(( ). Have you heard about or used this too?. Best regards, Paul. Jesus Christ is LOVE! Please tell somebody.

Actually, at my replying to the original post, I thought of mentioning Tom Apostol. Coincidence. George

No - I hadn't heard about that one. I couldn't find the first year test we used (it was good - but big) but I found a little something [^]that I used to actually understand ;) cheers, Chris Maunder

I know not Paul. It has been 14 years since I left my school. George

Don't worry about calculus. It just has a difficult-sounding name. A lot of people like to make out that it's the nightmare subject that everybody dreads, but it really isn't that bad.

Looks like a great book, Chris. But I couldn't help noticing the section below it: Customers who shopped for this item also wear: Clean Underwear from Amazon's Eddie Bauer Store Ladybug Rain Boots from Amazon's Nordstrom Store Suede Headwraps from Amazon's International Male Store Cheetah Print Slippers from Amazon's Old Navy Store Is this some kind of fashion statement about mathematicians? Or is it just about Australian mathematicians? :-D "When in danger, fear, or doubt, run in circles, scream and shout!" - Lorelei and Lapis Lazuli Long
