Peace, and Happy Ramadan. :) honestly I like the ideas around Ramadan. Christmas had some nice ideas however it's over shadowed by consumerism. :/ poor thing. Honestly everyone has the right to believe and have faith in something, and alot of religions have core common Values, these strength us in times of need and in ways make us a better person. :) I have a question, at the end of Ramadan, isn't there some sort of party? just curious.

That could almost be a translation from one of the Arabic responses.

I remember you're a fellow Edmontonian, though I'm not there anymore :(( , but I remember it wasn't too bad back there. Unlike some American cities.

It's called Eid Al-Fitr which means the "festival of the breaking of the fast". Its one of 2 official "Muslim Holidays" (the other being Eid Al-Adha, Feast/Festival of the Sacrifice). Wikipedia has a nice wrap up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eid_ul-Fitr[^] :) OT: How is the job market in Edmonton these days? I worry that my cousins are making it more flowery than it really is.

Thanks a lot Mustafa. The flood situation is real bad. Whole cities have been displaced. It is like a hurricane situation multiplied by at least 50 and the worse thing is that there was no prior indication of anything like this. May Allah help us to stand firm under these circumstances.

Born and raised. It's still multi cultured. We just had Heritage days with all the great food and dancing. I think that's one thing I feel proud of when it comes to Canada; being multinational yet still being " one country"(including Quebec).

That's the one. I remember the parties as Millwoods would become active :) I like witnessing other cultures festivities, gives the feeling of a "child at christmas" with new events.

Honestly? Better then it was last 3 years. End 2009 gave a feel of more IT jobs. Course many were looking for the contractors and the "special qualified". 2009 was the year of lay offs though. There is a slight pick up at the moment and companies aren't holding jobs like a poker player holding his cards to his chest. I'd have to say decent as I don't have the urge to move out of here. However IT will always be like a shark tank. environment wise, the rain clouds have been numerous and Belligerent (I love that line from futurerama). we've even had our own plague of skeeters. That's it for local News and weather, Here's DelekDave with Sports.

Only real parents can bastardize a child. That is bastardized English, everyone else speaks adopted English. :)

How many adopted bastards are the children of orphans of everyone else's real parents ? best, Bill

This is an error. The engine can arrange and combine numerical quantities as if they were letters or any other general symbols; and it fact it might bring out its results in algebraical notation, were provisions made accordingly." Ramadan is a month of fasting from sunup till sundown, where one abstains from food, bad deeds and bad thoughts. It is supposed to remind us of the hardships of others and therefore remind us of humility. Its also there to teach us patience, a lesson that is always good. Though quite a bit on this forum might find it strange, different or even downright hostile, I still wish everyone of you a Happy Ramadan and I hope that the lessons are not lost on anyone.

If the bastard child's parents where orphans themselves and died when the child was young, and they had no relatives, then it's possible for it to happen. You're talking about orphans squared where the child was born out of wedlock. It could happen, I just don't have statistics on it. Let's say 42.

Or, look into the Bible, meet Jesus, the Creator of everything! He said that He came to earth to not only save sinners, but that we might have life, and have life to its fullest! Sounds a lot better than Ramadan!
Jesus was more polite.

Actually, modern research has proven that regular fasting is extremely healthy. It improves and magnifies all your senses. People can see better and have significant improvements in hearing, smell and taste and, believe it or not, much higher energy levels.
