Not as much as he does. Come to think of it, I don't even do that now! Not envious though, I bet he's not married, 2 kids, mortgage, most of salary goes on keeping body and soul together, not much spare time for yourself etc etc etc. Think of all the things he's missing out on. Sits in a corner, sobbing quietly.

At 16 I was making great money - $1.75/hour! At that time, gasoline was $0.27/gal, my insurance was $80/year, and life was good! At 55, my standard of living has dropped considerably... :sigh:

I'm close: I rise early. I work hard. I use oil. Maybe that's why I can't retire yet...

At 16, I bagged groceries for $1.25/hr and worked a second job at a machine shop at $1.50/hr. Beer was only 25¢ and a game of snooker only cost 50¢, so I was pretty happy when I wasn't working. :)

There's just a little misconception here: He didn't work ten thousand times harder and more determined and more driven than the guy who made $100.

Eeesh. When I was 16 I was a high school dropout, working in restaurants. Hitchhiked all over the country, lived in Denver for 6 months or so... eventually made my way back to Vermont, completed high school, went to college... and sure as hell wasn't making a million a year.

Trying to think what my wages were then (8 years ago), just worked in the local pub/restaurant. Was a nice enough place and got me the cash I needed 'til I finished uni. It was always somewhere in the region of £5 an hour. But yeah... jealous :/

Unfortunately, I blew it all on drugs, gambling, and hookers. Just kidding of course. We all know rich teenagers wisely invest.

Need custom software developed? I do custom programming based primarily on MS tools with an emphasis on C# development and consulting. I also do Android Programming as I find it a refreshing break from the MS. "And they, since they Were not the one dead, turned to their affairs" -- Robert Frost
