Just received a mail for FedEx stating: Dear, Unfortunately we failed to deliver the postal package you have sent on 27th of July in time because the recipient's address is erroneous. Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our office. Contained a zip file as attachment and it contains an .exe - I was so close to open it :omg: Take care if you receive one. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looks like they already know about it : FedEx is committed to protecting the security and integrity of our network. While there is no foolproof method to prevent the respected FedEx name from being used in spam emails or potential scams, we are constantly monitoring for such activity and work cooperatively with law enforcement agencies around the world. We urge customers to be suspicious of any request not coming directly from a FedEx employee or domain name, especially if it contains an attachment which the customer is asked to open. Customers should not hesitate to contact us if they have questions regarding the legitimacy of an email soliciting payment in advance or requests to provide additional or personal information. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks and Regards Amar Chaudhary

Did you send a package ? If so, I'd be calling FedEx, and calling them retards.

We send a lot of packages - I am trying to contact them for the same. I don't think any business will send an .exe for printing.

Is that before or after clicking the 'zip' file? ;P

I think I've actually already had that one, almost opened it too. I was actually expecting a package and it was delayed, I think there was a different reason in my e-mail though.

Good decision not to open it. +5 for letting us all know about it, unlike some other members who would cheerfully watch us all catch a cold in spite of them being aware of the scam. No names, no pack-drill. :-D
