I just realized, I've been working for 6 years now. Started on 01-09-2004*. Switched jobs only once - and what timing that was! 3 months after I left, they sold themselves to Big Bad Financial Institution That Shall Remain Nameless, which fired more than half the employees. Working has been many things to me, but it's been very challenging, and I like it a thousand times better than college. How long have you been working? * Note to Americans: over here, we write dates correctly. ;P
Added smiley - there's something wrong when a tongue-in-cheek comment garners the most responses. And yes, yyyy-MM-dd is way better than any of the other two formats.
Cheers, विक्रम (Got my troika of CCCs!) After all is said and done, much is said and little is done.

Actually, they don't get around to showing you correct date formats until you've been around for at least 10 years. :)

Ability to define proper date format[^] Just kidding of course.
Need custom software developed? I do custom programming based primarily on MS tools with an emphasis on C# development and consulting. I also do Android Programming as I find it a refreshing break from the MS. "And they, since they Were not the one dead, turned to their affairs" -- Robert Frost

Well, I graduated in 2006, but I worked a few programming jobs in college. So I guess you could say I've been working for 7 years. Only about 4 years of that has been uninterrupted (i.e., after I graduated). I think I liked college more. The social experience was better, though I didn't take full advantage of it at the time. And I liked that the focus was on learning, rather than on getting things done with minimal expenditure (of time, money, effort, etc.).

I have been working with the same medical imaging research team since May 19,1997 (I graduated Dec 2006) but we changed universities after the first 1.5 years because the hospital system we were in went bankrupt.

I think both forms are wrong. I mean I would prefer YYYY/MM/DD over DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY

I had to get out a calculator for this. Let's see, 2010 - 1978 = 32 years. When's my retirement party? Hope I get an invite. :)

Different parts of the world??? How 'bout different parts of America? This place is one big, diverse, complicated disfunctional family. Frankly, I'm surprised we can even understand each other. :)

TV stations should stop broadcasting Miss USA pageants outside this country. That way the pea-brained idiots who think Australia is in Europe or that The I-Rack is a vacation destination won't be used to stereotype the average American. :-D

You Southerners need to get your accents straightened up. I mean what's up with saying stuff like y'all! The intense irony in a South Indian saying this is hopefully ignored so that my jibe at Southerners takes precedence over my accent. :-D
