It's been said that to be a good software developer you need to be at least a little on the Autistic / Asperger's side of things, how do you compare? http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/9.12/aqtest.html[^] (I got 25)

            32. I find it easy to do more than one thing at once. Where's 'only if I use more then one monitor' option to answer this question?

35 but I'm not too sure about this test. It look like its really easy to screw with the scoring.

Well of *course* it is, we're all bright enough people here. The point as ever is to answer as honestly as you know how.

It's flawed because it's crystal clear in most cases how to answer to get a high score, if you want one.

Well I guess so but then you'd surely be a fool to do so or not care about the results which would bring up the point why bother taking the test in the first place. I trust if people care enough to try it that they answer as objectively and honestly as they know how. In the end it probably reveals nothing but it's interesting to see that so far most of us skew far to one side.

But the point is that a lot of the questions are vague enough that you will tend to choose based on what result you want, at least subconsciously. I don't see a high score as a badge of honour and I'm sick of being told I am 'on the spectrum' all the time, and lo and behold, I have the second lowest score. I'm saying that happens unconsciously, not just deliberately.

Not least, people with Aspergers tend to become more sociable as they age, they just learn how to socialise later and more by rote. Hannah is like that, we teach her specific things to say to deal with situations.

I don't think so. What's flawed is taking it on the internet. It's meant to be delivered and scored, in conjunction with other testing, by a psychologist trained to give those kinds of tests. It's definitely not meant to be taken on the internet where one can see how the test is scored ahead of time and what the next questions are before finishing the one you're on. Cheers, Drew.
