Last night I gained much amusement robbing a trendy clothing shop (named "GASH") - I then ran upstairs, and changed into a clean set of clothes from their shop, which was enough to confuse the security guards :) Ahh, it's a great game :-D -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!

It's a techie thing... but also a newer techie thing. Those of use that are just about to hit 30 (I'm 29) and probably a couple years older and probably almost all younger probably like them. However, as you get older I imagine they begin to lose their luster. For one thing the reflexes get a little tired and you get tired of getting whipped by some 11 year old. For another thing you come to the realization (much faster) that it's just the same thing over and over again with a shinier and shiner package. Wolf3D was awesome. Doom was better. Quake was even better. Quake 2 was incredible. Quake 3 was... cool. Unreal Tournament was neat. Unreal Tournament 2003 was... well it was pretty ok. I'm looking forward to the new Doom like I looked forward to Soldier of Fortune 2 and RTCW. However, if you want honesty, lately my greatest gaming joy currently comes from Tetrinet2 and running a SNES Emulator and playing the old PunchOut.

Movies, music, fashion, cars, operating systems, development frameworks, dev tools, shoes, food, eletrical tin openers and compact disc players. Life though gets better without having to get shinier :)

Yeah, there's much more to do in GTA:Vice Ciry than GTA3 (far more places have interiors, so you can go into different types of shops) - there is also a much larger selection of weaponary (chainsaws, golf clubs, samurai swords, and many more) which makes it much more interesting. And you can drive bikes and helicopters :-D -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!

...but that implies you have a PlayStation 2. So here's the real question to ask: don't programmers prefer playing games on a PC, as opposed to a console? (I'll be the first in line to get GTA:VC when it comes out on the PC)

I liked Call-to-Power, and wasted many days with Civ1 back in the day. I've thought about getting Civ3. Is it worth the upgrade, or just more of the same with a few new techs, etc.? BW "I'm coming with you! I got you fired, it's the least I can do. ...but that implies you have a PlayStation 2. So here's the real question to ask: don't programmers prefer playing games on a PC, as opposed to a console? (I'll be the first in line to get GTA:VC when it comes out on the PC)

                                          I've got a PS2, a Gamecube, a Dreamcast, a Sega Saturn, a Gameboy Advance and a Multi-Mega (oh, and a PC) -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!
