He is causing a problem by burning one religous book. I think we should burn all religous books and thus rid the world of most of its problems.

That would just give rise to another psychotic schizophrenic who thinks he/she has a direct line to god and everything that is truth...

OK, so I'm British, so I don't have the same attachment to the Union Flag as many Americans seem to have to the Stars & Stripes, but isn't it a little mor/ironic for the protesters to be burning American flags? Norm, You're not the only one who picked up on the appeasement going on. Gee, wonder how those negotiations worked out with Hitler. Hmmm....

So who exactly is Hitler here? Is it all religion, or just Muslims? Or is it even just those who actually give a crap? Or should we exterminate them all so we can have some lebensraum?

It just demonstrates that people are impressionable, illogical creatures by nature. Seeing as most of us in a forum like this are in IT, we are likely linear thinkers. We view the world using logic and sequential thinking. I have found that most "normal" people don't analyze things in that way.

It reminds me of my children when they were of pre-school age arguing about who mommy and daddy love more. The difference is that my kids at that young age came to the consensus that mommy and daddy love them both the same... Religious radicals will never realize that they are what they hate in the other parties that they target.

Don't kid yourself, there are more than a few zealots here in the god squad who come out once in a while, I'm very surprised to see no comments from them in this thread so far.

Why are you glad Norm's an atheist? Do you want to avoid his beating your time with your God?

I think if you applied your intellect, you can clearly see who the beligerent is. Let's see: "If you don't let us do this..." there may be violence "If you do this..." there may be violence. I refuse to live in a world where I have to worry about a bunch of nuts who go beserk every time they are "offended". So, something has to give. Hitler kept taking and taking until people could not back up anymore...
