Old school gamer's gold mine

I stumbled upon www.gog.com[^] last night and as I was browsing through their catalogue the memories started comming back. They have so many excellent classics... Sanitarium, Phantasmagoria, King's Quest, Fallout, Heroes etc... In the end I couldn't resist buying the first Commandos game. I took me 2 minutes to create the account, buy the game and start the download. Everything is DRM-free, patched to work on XP, Vista and Win7. For $6 or $10 it's great value for money. I installed Commandos last night to test if it works and it runs perfectly on Win7 32bit. I did the training missions and now I can't wait to get home and jump right into the campaign, 10 years after I did it for the first time.

Gabriel Knight! That brings back memories of all the Sierra games I used to play growing up. King's Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Space Quest and Police Quest... man those were good games!
If the post was helpful, please vote, eh! Current activities: Playing Star Craft II. Don't bother me, eh? Now and forever, defiant to the end. What is Multiple Sclerosis[^]?

Outcast is the best game I've ever played. I've still got the discs; I'll have to see if it will install on Vista. I'm still waiting eagerly for the sequel, which is being built by fans because the company stopped trading.
I wanna be a eunuchs developer! Pass me a bread knife!

I loved the Leisure Suit Larry series, even if they had to give us a cheat here in the UK to get past the American questions at the start.
I have CDO, it's OCD with the letters in the right order; just as they ruddy well should be
Forgive your enemies - it messes with their heads

They rocked very hard. I hated it when they semi-resurrected the series but cut Al Lowe out of it. That was cruel and harsh and wrong.

My wife would love to meet Sid Meier so as to eliminate him.

I stopped after finishing Passionate Patti in Pursuit of Pulsating Pectorals. After all, I'd had a good lei.

How about these: Alternate Reality - The City (Atari 800) Alternate Reality - The Dungeon (Atari 800) Carrier Command (Atari ST) I guess it's wiser to emulate those old machines if you don't have the real thing anymore
A while ago he asked me what he should have printed on my business cards. I said 'Wizard'. I read books which nobody else understand. Then I do something which nobody understands. After that the computer does something which nobody understands. When asked, I say things about the results which nobody understand. But everybody expects miracles from me on a regular basis. Looks to me like the classical definition of a wizard.
