I was just wondering if azure is a win-win / loose-loose concept by microsoft. How does it makes its identity with Salesforce capturing almost all market ? What are your views ?

Lots of Microsoft technologies are win / loose (I leave it up to you to sort who wins and who loses, but it should not be too difficult). :-\ Seriously, what do you mean exactly with "win - win / loose - loose" ?

You can only do that if you run it up the flagpole to make sure we are all singing off the same hymnsheet. I'll go as far as to say that we need to innoculate the strawman on this one - it's just too much of a paradigm shift.

All this cloud stuff just puts my mind in a fog. The outlook is hazy, and opinions are cumulous, but are definitely building to a thunderhead. I personally think it's just some pie in the sky scheme that will eventually rain on someone's parade. One day the sun will come out, and the rainbow of common sense will overcome the current storm of idiocy surrounding Azure and it's empty promises. Microsoft will feel blue, but we'll all be better off. I hope that clears the air, and please don't get all misty eyed over this.

It's a colour that doesn't occur in any type of drink you'd want to push down your neck. Imagine if you will, a girly drink, as weak as diluted water - it would probably be in that colour range.

Microsoft has a history of catching up with others. As for azure, it is difficult to predict. Cloud itself is sitll questionable.
