Talk about predictable. I knew today would be like this. Every wake up one day and realise you have as much interest in the product you are developing as in, say, cutting the grass with a pen knife? Or talking about soft-furnishings? Or even worse, the contents of garden centers? (What is it with garden centers? Do they spray mogadon into the air and put a time warp field around the place?) Oh my god, how dull. I used to develope drivers for minehunting boats, submarines, helicopters! Now its security software! ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH! A colleague back then worked on the Rapier system. To test it they shot old Gloucester Meteors out of the air. Now thats what I call testing! I think I need to reconsider the direction whats left of my tedious little life is going in. :( ---edit--- so bored I ran out of bored symonyms...

I can understand, I spend half of my time taking files from customers and loading them, or explaining to one particular vendor how to do the same thing they've done at least twenty times already. And some of the few exciting things I've done are sitting in limbo because I can't get an answer out of management on which clients I need to setup for it.

I feel for you - I used to design system for evacuating refineries, airports (CLK at Hong Kong included), now it's video. I have been tempted to go back to safety critical, even if it means a drop in money.

You need a hobby. What about investigating global warming and getting back to us about it. ;P

A man with a tape recorder up his nose?
Proud to have finally moved to the A-Ark. Which one are you in?

My life is becoming more fun every day... the software that is at the sites, needs an update to the xml file that holds all the documentation, to have the latest release notes of course, well, the QA manager convinced the Director that everything that goes to the sites needs to be tested, so today I got the notification that my update to the documentation needs to be tested :P I wonder if they will stick to English or American grammar and spelling rules
I want to die like my grandfather- asleep, not like the passengers in his car, screaming!

Its called GUITAR! Black Sabbath, Muse, Santana... I am co sharing a house in Luxembourg on a contract at the mo. 7 of us, the rsst are French. Theres a drummer and basist and me (singer, rythym and lead guitar). A mate of the drummer plays keyboards, he's a Portuguese Luxembourger. Come 6 oclock, its back to the house, quick bite to eat, open the wine, and get down to some serious rock! Now THATS a hobby!

Well at least it's better than 'ennui', which he used like an adjective even though it's a noun.
