Following the US Rural vs Urban data comparison I posted a few weeks back, here is one for the Arctic

And since today is exactly the same as every other day, you're posting exactly the same monotony as every other day... Come on, at least CSS changes the subject now and then.

Come on, you are just being a dick now. My last three posts were about Jupiter, Belgium and Sweeden.

But whenever you post a debate topic, it's always global warming... I think I can speak for almost everyone here when I say...

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2010/09/22/arctic-isolated-versus-urban-stations-show-differing-trends/#more-25195[^] "Contrary to GISS claims, many of these stations are actually not “rural” with respect to their siting quality. Many are at airports associated with sizable towns or research stations with sizable staff and infrastructure. In the Arctic, any town of more than a few families can be a large heat source. In the case of many towns in Russian Siberia, “central heating” takes on a whole new meaning. These towns have a central power plant that provides electricity and steam heat to the whole town. Large pipes, both insulated and un-insulated, carry steam, water, and sewage, up and down the streets to and from each dwelling. These pipes cannot be buried because of the permafrost, so they are elevated, and at street crossings are elevated 4 or 5 meters. The temperature differential between these pipes and the surrounding air can be 140° C in winter, and even more for a pressurized system." And while GISS continue to adjust for UHI using satellite images at night time, adjusting for the density of street lighting, they will never take into account the poor siting of stations in otherwise remote areas. Such as righ next to to an aircon heat exchanger, a barbecue, or a garage. Anyway, nice graph showing true rural data for the arctic. Shows teh same parretn as Rural US and Greenland ice core data. As warm in the 1930s as today.

yes. I wish he'd post anything else that can be debated or at least talked about in a back and forth manner of facts.

Author of the Guardians Saga (Sci-Fi/Fantasy novels)Who said I wanted debate? I am telling you that the arctic temperatures are also heavilly UHI affected. :) Besides, you cant wrgue with the fact, its too simple to be debated: If you put a eather station anyway near an urban settlement you get unaccurate data that always shows more warming then there is.

As for that you are being presumptive, and wrong. You speak for three people. Other people manage to pass by posts they arent intertested in without insulting the poster, but this being AGW, and you turning into dick, you just cant resist it.

There's a point where joke becomes obsession.

There's a point where joke becomes obsession.
There is a point where a joke becomes an obscenity: The data collection that supposedly supports the theory that CO2 drives climate is, apart from being cherry picked, a sicntific joke. As is much of the other 'science' behind AGW (Manns Hockey stick and 'wind as a proxy for temperature in the troposphere' for example) Maybe you dont care about the 60 billion dollars GW has cost us already (in research) and the further 100 m dollars NOAA wants to fix its ground stations (because even they know they are a joke). And for what? To ATTEMPT to prove man is causing 'dangerous climate change', when the meerest glance at the data clearly shows no correlation between CO2 and true rural temperature, and that the recent warming trend is in no way unusual. Anyone can do that for a fraction of the sum wasted on this farce so far.

Yeah, you're doing nothing to convince me that you have it under your control.

Another dick who cant help answering to an AGW post the only way they know how to: With insults.

Oh, I see. is an insult, where 'another dick'... is not. You're boring and obsessed. Anyone who fails to cater to your obsession is a dick, an AGW fanatic, etc. It's really pretty amusing- you have no idea of my beliefs on the subject, but since I don't share your mental disturbance, you assume I'm against you.

Yeah, and I for one am convinced that the only reason they were posted was so you could make the claim that you'd diversified. Of course your immediate return to AGW form demonstrates that your obsession is unchanged, and your other posts were nothing but a feeble attempt at a smoke screen.

Author of the Guardians Saga (Sci-Fi/Fantasy novels)Do you scan the internet and post comments to anything that doesn't interest you and you find boring? I can not think of any more pathetic. You perfectly well know what fat_boy's post is about. So here's what to do: - Don't open it. - Don't comment - Move on.
