Developing on Multiple Monitors? How about 360 degrees of 55" monitors? :)

Google just open sourced their Liquid Galaxy app: http://google-opensource.blogspot.com/2010/09/galaxy-of-your-own.html[^] Wow, now that's what I would call a multi-monitor dev environment. Lock me in and give me my code. Don't bother me, I'm coding. ;P

It would look much better if they used monitors with no edge a slightly smaller edge around them! A bit like this: http://www.durhamav.com.au/pics/Products/plasmaSeamless.jpg[^] :-D

I mean much smaller edges than the large edges that Google used ;P

It looks like they only implemented about 300* of view. It looks like it's probably a wide enough coverage that it completely fills your field of view while sitting though. Now we just need to get the DPI up. Acording to the person at ATI who heads the eyeFinity team (multi-monitor gaming) at 20/20 the human eye has a resolution of about 75 megapixels; where resolution is defined as the point where anti-aliasing is no longer needed because the pixels are small enough that they're seen as uniform instead of a grid of dots.

I think John C's head will explode if he sees it.

 I'd love to have that. I wouldn't try to get any work done with it but it'd be great for games and stuff.
