Another case to support the need for genetic testing. I wonder how old the Mum was when she had that girl. Surely still a teenager. I hope she wasn't sleeping with a relative, but simply got unlucky and met another disease carrier :( EDIT: it seems the disease requires only one parent to be a carrier

They are enemies. Anything goes. The Edward side isn't that nice either, involving the media in a family dispute with the obvious purpose of discrediting the other side.

The implication that there could be a legitimate reason to mock a terminally ill child and her dead mother bothers me. You don't have credit to discredit at that point, you have made yourself into a sideshow.

Agreed, but the overlap between ethics and law does not make either complete. There are laws which aren't ethical, and there are ethical situations like this that do not fall under the law. They are exclusive and not dependent on each other.
