Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge

I was there last year, and It was 60% done at that time. It's huge. You got to see the US flag there to know how huge it is. also it very difficult place to built a bridge. If it was any other country, they might have planned the road to go at some curve instead of building a difficult bridge, but this is US. :)

Will they now close the road over the dam? I saw this earlier in the year: the dam is an amazing structure (pity I missed my exit past it and got lost!)

It's probably because the dam is a tourist attraction that they are providing the bypass (so people can drive past all the gawkers).

What happens if the new bridge becomes a tourist attraction, there is a danger of infinitely recursive bridges! :-)

I was there just a few weeks ago and it's an amazing site. Almost draws the eye more than the Hoover Dam does. To me, the more amazing picture is the one before the keystone of the arch had been placed (another photo[^]). That's just amazing!

Speaking of, when you start a Tour there, the first thing they say is "Enjoy the dam tour!"
