Trafalgar Day [Moved]

21st October 1805 Nelson defeated the villainous French at the battle of Trafalgar. To mark this we have lost The Ark Royal, no Aircraft for our Aircraft Carriers for 9 years and major cuts across the board. I always though Navy Cuts were a type of cigarette, (We know how sailors love tobacco, always up for some rough shag). Strangely, despite having to cut £3,000,000,000 from the defence budget, we appear to be giving foreign aid. So help foreigners at the cost of defending the country? Very odd. Personally we should cut all foreign aid to countries with nuclear technology, if you can afford that you don't need our money. Also we have to pay into EU Funds. That should stop as well. Oh look, I have just saved £20 Billion a year! /rant

Just said pretty much the same thing in SoapBox 1.0 I ma baffled by increased bribery foreign aid - was it £11billion? Disgraceful - our armed forces should come first.

QFT. I have read that India is planning to reject the aid offer from next year onwards. I hope they stick to it. The legacy of corruption needs to give way for something more sensible.

My city Bangalore is accelerating towards that as well. The ground water is over used. Whatever is left is contaminated. But who cares, people are going to emigrate more than usual...well the "west" must care :D

Where will a billion people emigrate too? No country will take them, and no country has the resources to feed and water them. India must address population control or there will be major problems. And why do you say the West 'Must' care? The west will not be in a position to help. We have our own problems, or have you not seen the news? Riots all across France, Poverty in most of Southern Europe, Britain in Financial trouble, the US has major unemployment. This will take 20 years to clear, India probably hasn't got 20 years of viable water, so what can you do? China is the same, they will be invading Siberia soon!

From the list you mentioned, sure, the train but not the other biggies. The Solutions would be 1. Drink beer instead of water. 2. Stop taking baths and save water. 3. ration water like Petrol. Besides fun, we always have floods every year in most of the places, we have to use them properly(I meant the rain). Divert the rivers. public awareness, thats the tough part of the plan. :)
