The best is not an OS, a brand, a manufacturer or any of those things. It is the one that does all the things you want it to do, at a price you can afford.

And probably will continue to. Since it is too subjective to categorically answer.

I'm happy with my SPV E650 (I think the same device is also known by the names HTC Vox and HTC S710). It does pretty much everything I want, the only things I'd like improving really are... - Multiple Exchange profiles would be nice - The flappy bit which covers the micro-SD card slot is annoying, it expands too much and keeps coming undone on its own - MP3 phone call recording doesn't get the other persons voice very well unless speakerphone is used - Performance in IE Mobile is sometimes a bit slow when playing music at the same time Overall though, it's the best phone I've had and nothing else is really standing out at me making me think it's better at the moment.

(disclaimer, I own an iPhone 3gs and it works for me) All of the above, none of the above. look for features you need and want. you need applications ? in particular application you really need. you need good phone sounds and support ? can you hear/talk normally in the phone (either directly on the phone or with a hand-free gizmp)/ you need good hardware ? (display, touchy thingy, buttons ... ) you need good battery life ? you need 3rd party support ? ... M.

It never got better than the original SPV (HTC Canary) That thing was awesome, it seemed to de everything and the picture quality from it's camera was unrivalled. I may have replaced it with technically better devices but the original SPV has always been my favourite phone, I still have one somewhere maybe I'll dig it out.

Motorola Dext, it totally has a keyboard. I tried having a phone with a higher resolution touch screen display but no keyboard and after living with that for a year I know now that the best smartphone for me has a full slide-out qwerty keyboard. All I'd want extra on it would be a trackball for scrolling around web pages and menus, that way I wouldn't need to put my finger in front of whatever I was reading.

The canary was amazing at the time, had some good games for it too and it lasted me a good several years. My E650 is zippier though, has bluetooth and wi-fi, outlook and web browser improvements, office mobile with editing capabilities, a good built-in camera, a longer lasting battery, improved video playback performance and a slide out qwerty keyboard (though I admit I tend to stick with T9 usually as I never got the hang of it with it being tiny). I know what you mean though, I still kind of treasure my original SPV though I don't use it anymore. The roll-up keyboard was pretty good as well - haven't seen one similar for the other devices.
