Why I don't care if Windows rocks

As a programmer I'm paid to program under Windows. As Windows is the OS in the 90% of desktop market, there is really no point in getting excited over it: if it rocks or it sucks it does not make any difference to me. If I have to use nasty unions and ugly workarounds, then I do. If everything works without having to hammer hard... all the best. I do not care. Professionally, I'm just paid to program under it and only it. I've no alternatives... hence I'm totally indifferent wheater it sucks or rocks. Please univoters get away ;P
Looks like you couldn't solve the bug with windows programming since last 10 days and making fuss about window. It definitely rocks, Definitely matters to me to be rocked with it.

no. it is just that I find childish to say Windows rocks inusmuch as it is to say Linux rocks... No bug found lately, btw, just unrequested features... ;P :laugh:

my english is not my mother tongue... sorry to bother you in case. Anyway, it is highly unprofessional to say "something rocks or sucks" I just say that I'm indifferent, so are you Professional enough to understand such difference?

Actually if you wanted to be entirely professional you wouldn't post about such silly things in the first place, even if it's to say you don't care. But let's be honest, whilst the Lounge may be full of professionals it's not really the office, it's the err, Lounge.

If you think Windows development* sucks, then why not learn Web development (which is the easiest way to reach most users) or iPhone development (which is the easiest way to reach most users who buy anything like mindless sheep)? Sure, both Web and iPhone development have their own quirks, but not as many as Windows development. * I think you meant developing against the Windows API directly. Sure, .NET has its own annoyances (mainly, its rigidity), but inconsistency and ugliness are not among them.
