I am looking to create one sub-folder inside my IE favorites list that I can place favorites (IE: create folders, do all the normal favorite type stuff) but have that folder be a shared folder (in real time if possible) between other people, and not just people on my local network. I have seen a bunch of things that allow you to share a list between people in a push/pull fashion but I am really looking for something that I can setup that is a bit closer to real time, like a web-folder or something. Anyone out there know of something like this already before I just start throwing code together and this drags into a late night cool-coding session? Really, I mean it folks... I'll do it.

Don't do it, you're too young! Wait until you are an old man before coding utilities like that!

Would you be willing to do this manually?  i.e. create a shared folder within your IE Favorites folder and have the other people (on your network) simply add a shortcut to that folder.  They'll get real-time updates to your shared folder, but of course this only works for people who have access to your machine. /ravi

If you are the publisher to other subscribers, I would write a simple app to generate an RSS feed on your special moderated folder. If you want others to publish to your feed unmoderated that's a really dangerous path. Need more info. It is pretty difficult to guess what you are trying to do, nevermind how to do it.

"not just people on my local network" Pretty sure he doesn't want to go that route.

If we had a real 'office location' and I could keep this local that would be one fot he first thing I would do, but we are a distributed group...

I'm just trying to maintain a section of my favorites list as a shared space between members of a distributed development team. I am really surprised that IE does not support this natively.

Actually, you can use a shared link in your favorites bar, but Windows opens up a new file explorer window. This new window supports refreshes and opens links in the currently open IE.
