"It's a brand new day And the sun is high All the birds are singing That you're gonna die..." Such a short song (No, it's not just the one verse, but it's still short), but it's lodged in between my cranial lobes, and I can't get it out of there! I'm having to consciously stop myself from humming it, so I don't scare my coworkers (Any more than necessary)... On a side note, points to whoever can identify what the song is from, and who sings it :) EDIT: For those too lazy to read the replies from people who got it... It's called "Brand New Day", and it's sung by Neil Patrick Harris (Yes, Doogie Howser) in "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog", written by Joss Whedon. Look it up on YouTube for a quick smile.

My girlfriend calls that an 'ear worm'. I got out of the shower yesterday singing something and she ended up singing it in work to the point where some of her colleagues asked her to stop :-D

I mostly have kid's TV show theme tunes stuck in my head. And the more in the office who have kids the more you hear them being sung or hummed. It is only worrying when you recognise someone without kids humming the theme tune for a program for pre-schoolers.

Every man can tell how many goats or sheep he possesses, but not how many friends.

Strangely enough, I DON'T have any song repeating in my head, just one word... KILL KILL KILL....

Dr. Horrible. It is in youtube[^]. Play it loud so your coworkers will know you are not responsible of it.

Ha, I wish... Blocked from YouTube at work... I played it on there like six times before I left this morning, to try to appease my mind and let it move on... Funny thing is that it's been almost a week since the last time I watched Dr. Horrible... Anyway, you get points too, because the first guy cheated :)

I love Dr. Horrible. I hope Joss has more stuff like that coming. Because of that I started watching The Guild (which is where Joss found Felicia Day [Edit: probably not, just remembered she had a bit part on Buffy], and also I think the idea for the format of Dr. Horrible). That is the nerdiest show, and is hilarious to anyone who has ever been in a MMORPG guild. It has also led me to say, "Every day is Felicia Day!" Which my wife does not appreciate so much, oddly enough.

He said, "Boy I'm just old and lonely, But thank you for your concern, Here's wishing you a Happy New Year." I wished him one back in return.

Heheh, I've done that before. I've made an effort to develop more self-control since then, but sometimes I still unconsciously hum those "ear worms" while I'm coding

Actually, Joss met Felicia Day when she had guest roles on Buffy. The Guild only really got popular because Whedon told his fans to check it out. I get peoples' attention when I describe Dr. Horrible as "This funny musical starring Doogie Howser, Malcolm Reynolds, and Codex" And I agree... HILARIOUS series. I actually went the other way, checking out Dr. Horrible because I was already a fan of The Guild. She's ALMOST on my list... The List: 1. Christina Ricci 2. Natalie Portman 3. Zooey Deschanel 4. Summer Glau

Christina Ricci on top of a list in 2010? You should call her agent. Can't disagree with the rest though. My wife is into "Bones" which stars Zooey's sister Emily who is slightly less strange, but looks (and sounds) almost exactly the same. It also stars David Boreanaz, proving everything that matters always comes back to Joss Whedon. I think that's what that proves.

Yeah, she hasn't done much lately that I've noticed... Well, Speed Racer a couple years ago... I admit I actually liked that movie, though I was never into the cartoons. But still... I don't know exactly why I keep her at the top of the list, but she's been there since she played Wednesday Addams (Hey, she and I are about the same age, so when that came out, I was a kid too)...

hehe, I'm pretty nasty when it gets to sticking songs in other peoples' heads. Like the Invader Zim Doom song and Don't Stop Believing. Down with the Sickness tends to be one I welcome echoing through my skull.
