Give or take a little email wobbliness we're done. At about 7AM Vince and I started pulling servers and untangling cable spaghetti and around 9AM we had all the servers in the new location - a record for any serious CodeProject move. All main servers were racked, cabled, plugged in and powered up within the hour and then it was just a matter of convincing our DNS servers and providers to propagate the new IP address. We're still seeing a few residual DNS issues, as expected, but once we're sure most of the traffic is over we'll setup a simple redirect that should help the stragglers. Now if you could all remember to take your shoes off at the door. The shag pile carpet is still new, after all.

When's the housewarming party? When I read your note late last night, I decided to have a few brandies, do a little programming, and hop on again in the morning. But much to my surprise, when I checked in at 9 AM the site was still MIA. I admit to a few fearful thoughts about you opening a mysterious package from Yemen, but I really couldn't think of anything better to do than to go back to bed. Happily, when I again awoke - at about the crack of noon - all was working normally. Well, maybe not normally, but I assume any residual effects representing distortions of reality are my own problems... Welcome back! But I have to ask, why the move? Was the landlord upset about all the hamster droppings in the server room? Or the fact that you all work around there without briefs?

    Will Rogers never met me.

Chris - I missed the memo. CP is moving again? correction: moved? Growing still?

Chris, But what about my vision?!?! I told you not to move! I told you to expect there will be some kind of major industrial accident, involving chemicals of unknown origin, left behind in your new space from the previous military owner in those innocuous 50gal steel drums sitting in the corner of the server room, and thus will begin the horror of the Zombie Hamster apocalypse!?!?!?! But in the mean-time, you know, before the little brain craving living dead rodents gnaw the flesh from your exposed feet causing you to fall helplessly to the floor where they can simultaneously converge on your tasty brain meat, congratulations on the successful move, Happy Halloween and did you just hear someone scream??? Naw, must be the wind ... D.

So is it just the server hosting address has changed or have you guys moved offices too? Is the server rack picture at the bottom of the about[^] page up to date? :)

Long story. Short diplomatic story is market forces and a big jump in the infrastructure level of the centre.

I have this image or a caravan of servers toddling through Toronto carried on the backs of a thousand hamsters... Well done and I bags the comfy chair. :)
