Does any try vc2010? I'm trying it now, but it seems 10 times slow than vc2008, especially when linking. Does anyone have such problem?

    Thanks Benben

Suggest you make up your mind whether it is vS2010 or vC2010 you are talking about, then enter that into the search box above - you will find many posts about vs2010

I've not noticed any difference in speed between the two (except VS2010 seems a bit quicker at loading your most recent projects up). I only have (relatively) small solutions in it though, but it's definitely not 10 times slower.

Microsoft's C++ support is dying. I would not have moved to VS2010 for C++.

Hey CG, That's not correct from a native C++ perspective. VC++ 2010 has several enhancements including C++0x support. They've also added several debugging enhancements that make life a lot easier, specially when debugging STL code. From a managed perspective yeah, VC++ 2010 does not give you anything (in fact it takes away intellisense too for C++/CLI which is a regression from VC++ 2008).

            Regards, Nish

It's nearly 2011 and you are asking if anyone has tried VS2010?

Well, it tries me and my patience all day long. But I think I'm in love.

He's the wiser man I'd say. :) I just started using it a month ago. No way am I risking any bit of my livelihood on initial release software.
