[edit] I got rid of the bad joke (email me if you want it) I still think it is funny, but obviously not even the Soapbox is a good place for it and I don't want to offend people THAT badly... Seems only two people on Earth actually think it is funny... me and the comic author... One last thought... is it not weird that we can all have a good laugh at a joke about Allah or Buddha or virtually any other god/religions but Jesus and Christianity is a no go zone?[/edit] (Not for the faint of heart, weak of faith or politically correct) Doing the Hokey Pokey, did anyone else try not to laugh and fail? And a good one made by our very own, benjymous.[^]

For the sake of curiosity send it to me , and I'll try to be totally impartial with it and post my opinion to you, okay ? Cheers,Joao Vaz And if your dream is to care for your family, to put food on the table, to provide them with an education and a good home, then maybe suffering through an endless, pointless, boring job will seem to have purpose. Ah yes. That irrationality aside I have seen enough sick jokes about other deities and religions here on CP to see there is big hypocrisy in this area. It is ok to ridicule Allah, but not Jesus. Same with outside of CP, in "real" life. People have a good laugh about some Islamic fundamentalist getting rodgered by a goat, but they are shocked when the same joke has a Christian in it. Anyway I don't want to make this a big issue.

Also having spent time with Aussies (in person) after 911 I can tell you that Aussies also laugh at those jokes but did not find my odd anti-Christian joke at all funny. I am sure it is the other way around in Arab/Muslim/Islam countries. They laugh at jokes about "us" Christian nations but don't if it is an Arab/Muslim/Islam aimed joke. Anyway, as always, generalisations, cliches, perceptions etc. are more often than not based on some truth.

As for space shuttle jokes (I assume you mean the Challenger incident, 1986 right?) I would find that pretty sick too, enough not to laugh. I wonder how many years we will have to wait till the first 9/11 movie comes out?
