goddammit. Pulled it apart as far as I can but I'm not optimistic about it's survival. Full spin cycle spit spit spit. Nuts

Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them along with this slice of humble pie, that comes direct from the oven of shame, set at gas mark 'egg on your face'.

what kinda phone? My old phone (a real old one) was washed twice and still worked. The second time it killed the battery but the phone itself still worked fine. If it is a newer smartphone...then yeah, I'm with ya and you're probably hosed... Just make sure you let it dry thoroughly before trying to turn it back on... And by thoroughly, I mean 3 days next to (but not too close to) the heater vent...

There was something about putting the parts in rice, which should absorb the moisture.

My old nokia phone(purchased some 4 years back) also got a nice WASH in a bucketful of water but survived. But one of my friend was not that lucky when his latest model Nokia accidentally got drenched in rain!!! He had to thorw it to bin and thats some E-Series nokia ... :) Older mobiles were much water resistive !!!!

              Thanks, Arindam D Tewary

Nah, here's how you do it. You'd first have to slice the phone very thinly, then layer it on a rice patty and tie it to the patty with a strip of Nori. To assist, you ought to have some green Wasabe in light soya sauce. Preferred tools for the successful completion of the process involve chopsticks. Sushi, the ultimate food.

at least it is clean now! (do not click if phone is elder than 2 days!) Most phones survive, just try to let it dry at least 48 hours. regards, Torsten

Shouldn't be a problem if it uses flush technology.

No matter what you do, don't turn it on till it dries (or the next 48 hours), whichever is earlier. Or was that too late.

If it is Nokia, It will survive, just give it some time... this happened to me 2-3 times. Try hair dryer, or put the parts in a zip lock bag full of raw rice.

                            1. Take battery out, don't try to switch on. That's the most importantthing. 2. You won't have a phone for a few days. Get over it. Leave battery and phone to dry for a few days. putting them into a bag with significant amounts of dry rice is not a bad idea, keeping it warm helps, too.
