Well, it's time to disconnect and get in the car soon. The rest of the week and weekend I'll mostly be talking to professors and apartment hunting. I guess I'm officially becoming a student again, pending the start of classes in January. Hopefully my wife will find an apartment that she and the dog both like, so I'll be happy. I know that if they aren't happy, I certainly won't be!

I'm just going for the week and weekend. I don't start classes until January, so no homework yet.

Sometimes I wish I could go back to school at least half-time, if not full-time. With a wife and two dogs to support, it's kind of out of the question. I don't like to idea of going back to being dirt poor again either. Now the problem is deciding how and where to take classes. The closest university with a decent CS program is an hour away and taking classes during the day is difficult with working all day. Plus, programming all day at work and then doing projects and homework in CS is grueling sometimes.

I'm not sure where you are looking, but I'm a huge fan of the brentwood and crestview area, but there aren't that many apartments.

Same here; except I think I'd need to go 2 hours for a decent classroom program; and I don't know that I'd have the discipline needed for an online masters program. Short of getting laid off while the economy is in the dumps I doubt I'll ever go back. My free time is worth too much to flush it all away.
