Surely you've heard of the stories of countless millions of US dollars that simply dissappear over there. Why is the US sending even one dollar over there? Shouldn't THEY be paying the US?

You think asking a country to compensate the US for the countless trillions spent on ridding their country of terrorists is stupid? Do YOU work for free?

Is that what happened? I thought the US with the UK running close behind invaded and nicked their country cos they needed to hit someone when they couldn't find a proper target to strike back against after 119. Now the Taliban who are a bit upset about having their country stolen are trying to get it back and the US and UK don't know what to do with it anymore. In the case of the UK, this is the third time they have tried to do this in Afghanistan, and have buggered it up and walked away quietly hoping no-one would notice on the previous two occasions.

Every man can tell how many goats or sheep he possesses, but not how many friends.

The only effect of the invasion of Afghanistan on Western Europe and the UK was an influx of cheap heroin because the Taliban had stopped its production. In more recent years the rising cost of food has meant it is now more profitable to grow food instead of heroin so it is less of a problem. Probably more terrorists in the country now than before, depending on how you define terrorist of course.
