Help Systems in MFC 5.0
-
Has everyone forgotten, is the question not interesting enough, or what! I posted a question about this some weeks ago on the Quick Questions Forum. 46 Views, No Answers. At one stage we had MFC 5.0. It had a Help System, which used RTF Files as input, and a whole lot more. Granted, maybe it will not work very well in today's internet driven environment, But, that's precisely why I want to Use it. The Software I want to deploy it with, will NEVER connect to the Internet. Is there anyone left who remembers how it works! Regards, Bram

If it was posted, it was seen. If it was unanswered, then no-one felt able to answer it. Posting here about an old Q&A and hoping to get people to re-view it is bad form, but I will not flame you or down vote. Just post the Q again and hopefully other people may see it and be able to help.

People do not deliberately not answer your questions. They're also not at YOUR disposal whenever you feel the need for an answer. When you ask a question, see it as one of the many possible ways to get an answer: in this path you might find one, or you don't, there are other paths. Getting angry will only get you flamed and frankly shows lack of respect.

Those help files were the old .HLP file format. There are plenty of help authoring tools around that will publish into that format.
I have CDO, it's OCD with the letters in the right order; just as they ruddy well should be
Forgive your enemies - it messes with their heads

My Wife suspects that I have OCD! Then again, she never went near a computer!

If it doesn't happen, you're not challenging yourself enough... :)
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.
