Excellent keep the up votes coming. If I can get to 2100 from my measly 1670's then I jump about 4-5 pages so I have some work to do.

That does sound a little off, maybe writing articles provides a greater amount of Rep points in one go than a regular forum post can. Perhaps that value is because of timing regarding his posting of that article. In any case it does seem a little weird. Anyway I have made some interesting calculations. If I post and get 5'd as I have been this morning then I will earn approx 150 points per hour, this means that in my usual 40 hour working week I can amass 30000 points. I imagine this is the upper and unlikely end of the scale of what is possible but hey, not bad going really. So I really don't see how we cannot get someone right on the heels of CG.

He has hardly written anything, he commented on the article, he did not write even that. Almost all his points have been earned "Organising" other people's stuff i.e. 23k points from voting! Take a look at his rep-graph, veritical doesn't even desctibe it.

On CP, it is fairly important. Elsewhere, not so much.

Only someone who's gained no reputation in 3 years of membership thinks it's unimportant here.
