Clearly, you've never tried to drive during rush hour here when there's ice on the roads. :) Granted, it doesn't happen often, but it's an exciting event.

Norway’s coldest November in living memory[^] It makes -13 C here in Luxembourg sound almost tropical!

Dude, I grew up in Texas. Summer in Atlanta doesn't even move the needle. Wait, maybe that's why I'm not in Texas anymore. Well, that, and waiting for the statues of limitation to expire on a couple of youthful incidents...

I'm guessing you don't want to hear about how we wear blue jeans and t-shirts in Atlanta this time of year, eh? :-D

I've been in Atlanta at this time of year. I found it hilarious how the locals would get all bundled up wearing jackets and such on days when the temp got up to "only" 13-14 celsius. Granted, we still wore long pants, but only because we were working in the Coke head offices at the time, but we loved the fact that we could wear T-Shirts in the dead of "winter".

              I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

Gods. Cold - Try Korea in Winter (-35F wind chill factor included) with no winter closes and someone trying (hard) to kill you. However Terror does tend to keep one warm.

For most people, the concept of 'average' doesn't pose any particular intellectual difficulty. It does seem to be well over the head of this particular moron, though, doesn't it?

Isnt Georgia more humid than Texas though? In the south France 105 is (was a few years ago) fairly comon in summer, but it was a dry heat and in the shade not unbearable.

There's a reason why I live and work somewhere far enough north that it can get -40 windchills in the winter. Trolling my coworkers by walking into the building without a coat on when it's that cold is just a bonus.

Isnt Georgia more humid than Texas though? In the south France 105 is (was a few years ago) fairly comon in summer, but it was a dry heat and in the shade not unbearable.

It depends which part of the state you're talking about. The western end is semi arid/desert, the eastern coast is a horridly hot humid hell.

Well yeah. Record setting cold in the winter is obviously far more meaningful than record setting heat in the summer.

Norway’s coldest November in living memory[^] It makes -13 C here in Luxembourg sound almost tropical!
