Doesn't it just mean she's cheating? Whats the point in that? I find the saturation a bit low, and the whole thing a bit 'flat', lacking 'pop'. Plus the subject looks a bit bored.

No, she's not cheating because that's what everybody does: the only people who will vote for the photos are friends. So, the more friends you have that will vote for you, the more chance you have to win the contest. I know this is stupid but it's how it works.
