Michelle was watching Terminator 2 the other night, and there was the scene where the Security Guard comes face to face with the T1000 who has shape-shifted to look like him. I said "They are twins in real life". Michelle just looked at me, waiting for the penny to drop. It took 5 seconds before I realised what I had said.

I still dont get it. And whose penny was dropping anyway?

"It is a remarkable fact that despite the worldwide expenditure of perhaps US$50 billion since 1990, and the efforts of tens of thousands of scientists worldwide, no human climate signal has yet been detected that is distinct from natural variation." Strange, but I immediately realised what you had said. The only problem is that none of us have yet figured out the point of this story, it's less comprehensible than some CCCs, or the pearls of wisdom we see late some Friday nights.
