In line with JSOP letting us know about his misadventures with VB lately. Well, my dumb ass just got issued a "small" assignment from management yesterday. I have to convert an Access database .mdb to Access 2007 .accdb and I have to do this ASAP. I will be taking myself out to the back field and putting a bullet through my head sometime today. It was nice knowing you all.

I have recently been told that we have an Oracle DB that has stuff in it, some of this stuff is exported into an Access DB. They now want me to take the Access DB and copy some of it into a SQL DB. We can't go from the Oracle to the SQL because the Access is already being created. Apparently.

Nice to have known you. Bye! Seriously, I had to move/migrate a whole plant mail server from notes to exchange back in the days when I IT-ed too much. It was panifull. You'll survive this. Don't give up. As Luc said, the answer is 42! :)

I used to think.... Finally I realized it's no good.

Sounds like a simple rename of one file. ::shrug::

It is worth a try. The outcome is presumable, but one never knows...

No. It is not that simple. I take it you have never really worked with Access...that's OK. If it were that simple I wouldn't have wasted my time venting here at CP about it. Thanks for your idea anyway.
