I must say I liked CodeProject Daily News for a long time - they provided me with nice summary on what's going in developer community. However, recently quality of links dropped significantly. To give examples - yesterday we had link to a blog post of "developer" who can't do math that discusses how much Windows 7 Phone devices have been sold in totally idiotic fashion... and today first link is to CNN article that talks about _HACKERS_ who can't take down _Amazon_Cloud_Fortress_ (when in reality these "hackers" are trying DDoS attacks against Amazon). If I wanted that kind of "news" I would probably be subscribed to CNN Technology, Mashable or Engadget. I mean, with so many great articles on CodeProject, I would rather have any article that's over 4.5 featured instead of these so called "news"... So, am I the only one, or there are others who also don't like recent news?

You log in to CP to do all those things. Generate traffic, increase the worth of the site to enable it to get even better. The NewsLetter is about accessing things/articles/blogs that you might otherwise miss.

I agree that the perceived quality of the articles linked to does vary, but to paraphrase "You can't please all of the members all of the time". For every one that you didn't like, I'm pretty sure that there will others who do.

Do you have some more interesting news we should be reading? I was kinda surprised I didn't see anything about the Julian Assange trial (e.g., the judge allowed tweets to be sent live from the courtroom).

Well that sounds interesting, share link if you can (or I'll simply search for it ;) ). Here are some example of news that I find relevant and think that other CPians would also enjoy reading: Kinect can fly All your drives are belong to us Hourglass traffic light

I feel like the focus as of lately is on new or underused languages and mobile development and is not relevant to what I do, so I've been reading much less articles. I remember just a couple of months ago reading every article and bookmarking about 10-20% of them.

I pretty much avoid anything related to Kinect (the hacks and such don't interest me). But those other two are interesting and would be welcome links in the CP news. Link to Wikileaks tweet story.
