My sister (who lives in another state) just got a new laptop, so I thought I'd help her backup everything so that it's easier for me when everything inevitably goes to crap and I have to fix it. I got started early, to make sure I could take advantage of the early day off from work today and get some extra sleep in so I can be well rested tomorrow. I had some DVD+R's sent to her and they arrived today, so I just needed to tell her how to do the backup. Nearly 3 hours later, I'm going to bed late. Ah well, this'll probably save me about 10 hours later, so it's probably worth it. :^) :baaaa!: :baaaa!: :baaaa!: :baaaa!: :zzz:

Do you really know she did it right? Check the DVD's first. I use to install a tool like teamviewer on all of those machines. Most issues can be fixed remotely that way. AND I can see what they intend to do while having "some strange behaving computer". regards, Torsten

Do you really know she did it right? Check the DVD's first. I use to install a tool like teamviewer on all of those machines. Most issues can be fixed remotely that way. AND I can see what they intend to do while having "some strange behaving computer". regards, Torsten

Whoops you mean I'm in the lounge and not the backroom - damn. Anyway it's the only way to deal with perps like this.

Wish I had thought of that. Though getting that installed and setup on her computer would have probably taken 4 hours. :doh:
